I always am amazed at how designers take a classic staple (that we’ve seen a bazillion times before) and make it new and fresh. They’ve done it again this season by adding delightful details like; bows, ruffles, and puff sleeves.

Here are a few of the prettiest. Even more exciting? The prices. Half of the options below ring in at under $100!

Ruffles, Ruffles, Ruffles

But never fussy.

Nope. Ruffles this season are usually limited to one to ensure they don’t cross the border into over-done.

In case you’re asking, are ruffles right for my body type?

When it comes to ruffles and dressing for your shape, it’s all about placement. Much like accessories, you want to use them to draw attention to your very favorite features.

Do you have svelte, sexy arms? The two styles above will definitely show them off!

Have a Scarlett-worthy waistline? These ¾ length sleeves drag the eye right to it.

I had to include this causal option as it’s so sweet and charming. Plus, the lightweight material makes it perfect for this stifling August heat.

While separates don’t usually rev my engine, I adore literally everything about this blouse; the stiff neck ruffle, the color (which is super-duper popular this pre-fall), the bold buttons, and of course the price.

Don’t like showing off your biceps? No worries, here’s a short-sleeve option.

And again, with lust-able separates. These two sweet blouses will work anywhere and anytime – casual evenings, weekend errands, and of course, work.

Did you catch the price of this one??? Bonkers! For the office? Pop a blazer over it, and it’ll take you warmly into the winter.

And Finally Puff Sleeves

This trend comes with a caution flag. Too many of the current options are way over-worked. Too much material, too many details, or too billowy for real life.

Having said all that though, the designers and brands who got it right, got it really really right. Puff sleeves are also perfect if you prefer to keep your upper arms covered or work in a chilly office.

The material of this one is light and flowy, making it oh-so-flattering. Pop on a statement necklace, and it’ll likely be the best looking, easiest to wear outfit in your closet. And can’t you just picture it with a pair of royal purple heels?!? Crazy cute!

The mini length of this one is what makes it brilliant – completely avoids frumpy and keeps it fun.

And for those of you looking for a casual option, Free People knocked it out of the stadium with this little number. And again, did you catch the price??? Makes a girl wonder what the heck is going on this week with so many super affordable options.
