Not to brag, but I have the best besties around. Smart, beautiful, clever, funny, the list goes on and on.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to spend nearly enough time together. Finally, after months of talking about it, we carved out time for a girls’ weekend. And it was a ton of fun!
For example, on Friday, after a trip to the salon, a bit of day drinking, and accessory shopping, we wandered into Sephora. Someone’s beauty fairy must’ve been shining down on us because we literally ran into (I blame the day drinking/high heel combo) Sandra.
Sephora calls Sandra a Skincare Specialist, but her official title should really be Goddess Of All Things Skin.
After chatting her up, we suddenly had more skin issues than a pack of adolescent girls.
Thankfully, Sandra had heard it all before and had the perfect recommendations.
Taylor:
Sandra recommended Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask.
Price $62

Taylor’s Skin Type – A smidge oily
Issues – Discoloration, break-outs, aging, and dullness
Timing – 10 minutes
On application, Taylor says, “It feels icy-cold, refreshing, smells delicious. tingles slightly, but eventually calms down.”
Taylor’s comments post-mask, “Love it! My skin is 10x’s smoother. I think it removed a lot of dead skin.”
On a side note – Taylor has sensitive skin, and we all agreed her redness nearly disappeared.
Taylor recommends – Removing it with a washcloth or Shiseido cotton pads.
Carol:
Sandra recommended Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask
Price $85

Carol’s Skin Type – All over oily with occasional dehydration.
Issues – Lifting, firming, and lines.
Consistency – Weirdly jelly-like.
Timing – 5 to 10 minutes
On application – Goes on silky smooth. Feels super cool.
Things to know – The box recommends a thick application, so Carol used three scoops.
Carol’s thoughts post-mask, “Very easy to remove. My skin feels smoother, but I don’t notice any firming or tightening.
Our comments post-mask – The evenness of her skin is unbelievable! So even and smooth, it looked like she had on foundation. The results lasted overnight because she still looked just as amazing the next day. Bonkers!
Me:
Sandra recommended the Farmacy Honey Potion
Price $56
You know the drill. Here are the details.
My Skin Type – Dry-Dry-Dry
Timing – 10 to 15 minutes
Consistency – Super-duper thick
On application – The self-heating started right away and stayed warm the entire time.
Post-mask thoughts – Easy-peasy to remove and despite the honey name, not a bit sticky.
I didn’t notice a difference in appearance, but the girls thought my skin looked moist and had a healthy glow.
